  13. Darling Maggie was my Mum’s best friend for almost 70 years. Both women hailed from Scotland and met when they worked together in the National Bank in Melbourne some 50 years ago.
My Mum (Cath Monck) moved to Adelaide after her wedding, but Maggie and Cath remained close friends. Dearest Alan, my Dad and children from both families came to know each other well.
I was grateful to be able to travel from Adelaide to Mirboo North for one last cuddle with Maggie just 5 days before she left us to reunite with Alan, Cath, Bob and many others.
Maggie was a gem – a beautiful, kind soul with a fabulous smile who will be missed by all of us ❤️

  14. Darling Maggie was my Mum’s best friend for near on 70 years.
Both ladies hailed from Scotland, and
Maggie met Catherine when they began working together at the National Bank in Melbourne.
I have known and loved Maggie (and Alan) all my life, and I am so glad to have made the long trip from Adelaide to Mirboo North for one last cuddle with Maggie on December 29th.
    She passed 5 days later.
Maggie may have left us, but she has reunited with Alan, Cath, Bob and the many other friends who were waiting for her.
We are all better people for knowing Maggie’s smile, kindness and love.
    She’ll be missed by many.
