HOEKSTRA – Dirk

Dirk was always great fun to be around, my biggest memory of him is lots of laughter, and a deep love for the Lord. He’ll be greatly missed!

I will always have finds memories spent with this kind gentle man. We did many four wheel drive trips together and he was always a great man to sit around the camp fire with.
He will be missed a true gentleman.

Great memories of times together in Emmaus and family friendships

Dirk we loved you and will miss you so much at our Gideon meetings a man of great faith.
He was full of fun and laughter.

His prayers have been answered he has a new body free from pain now in heaven.

Dear Robyn, Kieren, Brock, Joshua and family,

I am so sorry to learn abouth the passing of Durk. My mind is filling up with happy memories from the times I did visit you all Down Under.
I liked being around him and I always felt loved by him.
I wish you all find the strength to get through this sad time and remember the happy thoughts you had with him.
It’s a little hard for me to explain my Frisian thinking into English words. My thoughts are with you in these saddened days.

Dirk was my host father during the period that i was an exchange student in Australia,i always remember him as a lovely and worker dad,who likes to be with his family and doing activities with us,with a lovely sense of humorand a very kind patience and a funny dad.
I’ll always remember you with a HUGE SMILE!

Sad but glad to know Dirk is now held in the arms of our wonderful Heavenly Father and someday we will meet again.

Glad to know that Dirk has no more pain but sad that Robyn and family will have to learn to live without their treasured husband, father, grandfather.
