Our thoughts are with you all
Love Merv Deb & the Thompson familyDear Trevor, Kathleen and all family, l knew your grandmother ever so long ago. Firstly at Serviceton through Phil Vorbach & family, (Phil was station master, steam train era )until 1950, Both Gwen and Ron(brother)attended Serviceton State School at the same time as l. When they left Serviceton a family farewell was held in the ‘Servi Hall’. Gwen and l have always written to each other to exchange news. Gwen attended my 80th birthday at Robe, (2012). Recently we spoke , we visited Gwen in Foster,, where she gave us a song or two on the piano. We’ve had an 83 year old friendship, dear family thank you for sharing ‘Your grandma Gwen’ with me. Bette and Gordon Allsop. A lifelong friend.

And if I may call you Betty, thank you for your words about Serviceton, of course Mum often spoke with fond memories about Serviceton and her friendship with you Betty. Mum never let a friendship slip if she could help it, and her letter writing was a feature of her life.
I hope you are well.
Thanks also to Mervyon, Debbie for your thoughts and visits to Foster. Also to Margaret in Cairns who Mum always tried to look out for and Kelisha who was one of Mum’s special carers.
Thankyou.
