Buck was a lovely, kind soul with a sharp and inquisitive mind who made lasting contributions to the dairy industry. There are very few people with Buck’s characteristics in the world. We would be far better off if there were more.
Buck changed the dairy industry in many ways….not least in providing the intellectual grunt which enabled a new and lasting milk quality scheme to be introduced to the industry.
Many, many people will miss Buck…and his quiet wisdom. I will be one.
I shan’t be there to say goodbye but rest in peace Buck. In clover laden fields perhaps

We have so many special memories of Buck,!! His wisdom always told with the greatest sense of humour, a jolly chuckle and the smell of his pipe. Great times we had both at the Ellinbank and Lake’s houses. Our love and thoughts are with you all.
Rod and Leah Pratt and family xxIf it were not for Buck and his support and encouragement Round bale silage would not have started in Australia and around the world. In the early days his support to me and our company was enormous and much appreciated.
I also met a person who a called a friend.
My condolences to Meg, Matt, Kate and family.Ken Williamson
