Trish’s knack for selecting gifts was truly extraordinary.

I’ve known Dick and Monica for over 50 years. We were strangers when Dick and Monica helped me when my daughter died in Leongatha in 1975. I have since returned to Ireland but have kept the old camper which Dick and Monica have looked after for decades, because I return to Australia maybe 40 times over the years. I have knows all the kids since they were born and were a second family to me. I send my greatest sympathies to you all. Drew

Thinking of you all at a most difficult , tragic and sad time with the passing of Trish. Although we were no longer in touch at the time of Trish’s death, I am constantly reminded of her when I come across old cards, letters and photos written or taken by her. Trish’s generosity and nuanced gift giving was something to behold. Her brightness and laughter lit up a room and Trish had a cheeky sense of humour to match.
Everything Trish did, she went for it! Most people talk or dream about it but Trish just went for it. Her drive was incredible whether it be photography, requalifying as a Social Worker, teaching in Korea, riding the Otago trail in N.Z – once you made up your mind you were a whirlwind of action until it became reality.
You overcame more than most. Your love for those close to you was unsurpassed. you were always passionate & advocating for the underdog. Your contribution in so many lives will keep you alive in many hearts 💕
