Though family bonds are broken and words remain unspoken, I thought of you today.

Though time has passed and it hasn’t always been kind I want you to know you are always on my mind.

I see your smile in my own reflection as I remember you with warm affection and despite recent rejections I still honour this connection.

As the poem goes about links in a chain one by one we are born and then again one by one until only ashes remain.

Until your final fated days I want you to know I thought of you always.

I hope you’ve felt the sun on your face, that life has been kind and your dreams where chased.

To those of us who where blessed to know you … we will miss your gentle, kind and generous spirit.

You had a lovely way of making people feel special, a gorgeous pursed smile and a truly beautiful heart.

Thank you for being my Aunty, I love you and I will miss you greatly like I have had to these last years, until we meet again x
