  6. To Uncle Graham, Julie, Chris, Georgia, Joel, Tash, Trevor William, Alex and Finn we send our deepest condolences love and thoughts on the passing of our beautiful
Aunty Val. She was a breath of fresh air always beautiful on the inside and outside ! Always fun loving, smiling and there for everybody who needed her. As a child and teen I always remember thinking how elegant she was , and even when she moved to being a farmers wife she always looked lovely, always had hair nice and always had manicured nails! We as the Potsch family spent a lot of time on the farm and we loved it , Aunty Val would always cook us a yummy roast dinner before we set off for Melbourne again, our girls loved being on the farm and it didn’t stop when we moved to Perth ! On trips back we always made a beeline to be there with our farming family as we were always made so welcome, had lots of fun and laughter. It was evident when we went into town how much she was loved by the locals! There was always a chat in the shops or at the netball with her new country pals ! One of my dearest memories is when I went to England with Aunty Val Julie and Craig taking my 6 month old Sally with us What a wonderful time we had and I was in awe of Aunty Val’s bravery driving around the UK and even London as if she’d done it all her life ! No GPS in those days but never did she get flustered or lost, it was amazing or more to the point she was amazing . When Mum and Dad moved to Perth not only was she my Aunty but I looked on her as a big sister as we’re not that much different in age and on trips up to Melb we always had a lot of fun together !
It’s taken me a while to really believe she is no longer with us and in my eyes I still see her as the elegant Bride she was with me as her Bridesmaid , loving the music of the Beatles and Tommy Steele, dancing up a storm at our our family parties, cooking all manner of things in her little kitchen, shopping with her sisters as they did often together at Forest Hills and Doncaster shopping town and being the ever loving Aunty she was. Aunty Val I loved you as a child and as a teen I looked up to you , then as I got older married and with kids of our own we all loved you as a family and we will love you forever ! It was wonderful that you were able to witness both of our girls marry here in Perth and we always enjoyed your many holidays over here with us all You loved the pool at Mum and Dads and there was always so much fun and laughter ! Shopping at Karrinyup always in the list for you too ! Lol
I will always laugh when I remember the time Mike named a new calf Miss AMI after where he worked and Sally named one Princess On one of our trips back we were having our usual Roast lunch and looking out the window I said “ oh we haven’t seen Princess this weekend “ Aunty Val laughed and looked away saying “ oops you’re eating her “ at first we were shocked but then we all had a laugh …………..oh dear so many memories Thanks for all of them Aunty Val
    RIP my beautiful Aunty xxx

  9. It was in Williamstown that four families arrived
from England to start a new life and those families helped each other to settle happily in Aus. There were wonderful parties, birthdays, Christmas’ and some for no reason at all.
Val was more of a sister than an aunt to me and Graham a brother so I say to you brother that you have been a blessed man to have had a wife such as Val and all the memories you can call upon to make her leaving a little easier and when you call upon those memories write them down so they are tangible and heart felt.

    We feel for you
