Tributes
  1. I will miss our phone calls. We would talk about everything, but we always came back to footy. You were so excited with your beloved Richmond’s premierships whilst telling me to keep faith with my Melbourne Demons, only to be battling your own. Every day we have a tangible reminder of you as we sit on our magnificently re-upholstered couch. You were a beautiful, kind and gentle soul. The world needs more like you – not less. Be at peace my friend.

  5. Rodney – I only knew you when we were both young. You were sweet and kind but also adventurous and loads of fun. You were a special guy. I carry those warm and happy memories with me.

My deep and sincere condolences to your loved ones. They must be totally lost without you.

I like to think that you are somewhere in the universe looking down on us all. I hope that wherever you are, the outpouring of love for you from your family and friends reaches you and warms your gentle heart.

  7. Rod was about the first person we met when we moved out this way and needed an heirloom couch worked on.
The thing that we both loved was the way his eyes lit up when we told him it was actually going to be sat on, and loved: not displayed in a corner.
Following that first meeting we always got his lovely smile and a wave of the hand when he saw us in town.
An artisan who will be missed in his trade, but a friend who will be missed in every other way.
    Rest In Peace.

  8. I would like to think i speak on behalf of everyone at the Roman Empire when i say we are all deeply saddened at your loss Rod (Rocket). Your infectious laugh and “she’ll be right” attitude had us in stitches on many occasions and to say there was never a dull moment when Rocket was on duty is a huge understatement. You somehow managed to weave your way into each and every one of our lives in some way and i believe we are all the better for having known you. Rest in Peace our friend and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey albeit way too short.

  15. A beautiful and touching tribute to Rodney today…sending love to you all. It was a very fun experience going through the cfa with you Rod and your appreciation of music and my vintage threads was always so thoughtful. Hope you are at peace now and laughing and playing guitar watching the tiges.
I will try to fight on as you did.
